From chandeliers to LED panels to outdoor street lights, Guzhen has the world's most complete lighting supply chain. The annual Guzhen Lighting Fair is the world's largest professional lighting exhibition.
For hardware founders, Zhongshan is the destination for any product that emits or involves light. But the city's manufacturing extends beyond lighting: Xiaolan town produces locks, hinges, and hardware; Dongfeng handles affordable household appliances. Guzhen (古镇): The lighting capital. 27,000+ enterprises covering every lighting category: chandeliers, LED commercial lighting, smart lighting, outdoor lighting. The annual Guzhen Lighting Fair (March and October) is the global lighting industry's main event. Caosan and Haizhou villages specialize in LED track lights and panel lights. Xiaolan (小榄): Locks, hinges, and hardware — China's lock capital with 2025 output exceeding 300 billion RMB. Also a key town for lighting components (LED drivers, heat sinks, optical lenses) supplying Guzhen. Growing audio accessories cluster.
Dongfeng (东凤): Affordable household lighting and small kitchen appliances. The mass-market complement to Guzhen's higher-end custom lighting.
Nanfeng (南丰): Ceiling fans and ventilation equipment. Specialized cluster for air movement products.
Smart lighting is transforming Guzhen. Traditional lighting factories are adding WiFi, Zigbee, and Bluetooth mesh connectivity to their products. The integration with smart home ecosystems (Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa) is becoming standard.
LED technology continues to evolve: mini-LED and micro-LED manufacturing is entering Guzhen's production base, driven by demand for higher-resolution displays and automotive lighting.

Lighting certification requirements are complex
Different markets (US, EU, AU) have different certification requirements: UL, CE, SAA, etc. Verify that your factory holds current certifications for your target market.
Quality variance is extreme
Guzhen has factories at every quality level. A $5 LED panel and a $50 LED panel may look identical online. Physical inspection at the factory is essential.
Component sourcing overlap can cause confusion
